What we have done.
Issue 1 Grant
Every year, Congress Township applies for the Issue 1 grant from the state of Ohio. Congress Township has applied for Issue 1 grant money for 2024 to work on Township Road 94 and Township Road 96.
New Signage
In 2020, $17,000 of new road signage was purchased through a grant from the state of Ohio. The new signage installation was completed in 2023.
Road Improvements
As of 2019, all of the township roads in Congress township are paved. The latest road improvement project took place on Township Road 77 and Township Road 97 during the summer of 2023.

Tire Round Up
The Congress Township residents tire round up will be held October 7, 2023 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Williamsport Grange. Congress Township residents must show their ID. First 5 tires are free. Additional tires will be $5 cash per tire. No rims or agricultural tires will be accepted.
Township Building Improvements
With the Care Grant money, the township building has become a high speed internet hot spot. The bathrooms in the building have been updated and a new ADA facility has been installed. A back up generator for the facility has been purchased.
Road Improvements
Road projects that we have applied for Issue 1 grant money include Township Road 94 and Township Road 96.
